No, you do not need to be home. In fact, much of our window cleaning is done when our clients are not at home. Although many people do like to be present when someone is working on the inside of their home, we have background checks on each and every employee ensuring a safe and trusted experience.

We are happy to say that you do not need to do any preparation before our visit. Our employees will gladly move furniture and other obstacles out of the way to get to the windows. We do recommend if you have items of value or other objects that you may want to move, it is always very much appreciated by our window cleaning team.

Here at ViewCrew Window Services, we reschedule the cleaning only if we feel it is necessary. On a day where there is a slight drizzle, we will still show up and get the windows cleaned. On the other hand, if it is pouring or for any reason you would like to move the date of the window cleaning due to the drizzle, then we will reschedule.

Each window cleaning appointment is different depending on the size, amount, and difficulty of the windows. Window washing can range from 1-2 hours for smaller jobs (small storefronts, apartments, small residential jobs, etc.) to 8-10 hours on very large residential or commercial projects. Splitting the difference, the average sized residential window washing job takes about 3-4 hours to complete.

Window cleaning services at ViewCrew typically include a full cleaning of all the glass on your windows and doors. This includes interior and exterior glass cleaning, but we also allow for customers to add on any interior surfaces as well. This can include light fixtures, chandeliers, mirrors, ceiling fans, and other special requests on occasion.

The glass is not the only part that gets cleaned. The frames and sills of the window are scrubbed down with professional cleaning solutions to make the entire windows appear brand new! Cleaning the sills and wiping down window tracks improves the functionality of your windows.

Screens are not included in the price of window cleaning, but it is an add on service we provide. Screen cleaning can be added on the day of the job, or scheduled prior to your service. Each crew will have a screen cleaning machine in their vehicle that they run your screens through to get a professional clean. We will take out your screens, clean them, and then reinstall each one to the proper location.
